Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, in a special conversation with India News, stated that despite the low voter turnout during the initial phase of the Lok Sabha elections, majority of votes cast are in favour of the BJP. He mentioned the lack of interest from the opposition in contesting the elections. He elaborated on his vision for Rajasthan and discussed strategies for advancing development while sidelining the Congress. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s ability to secure victory in all 25 seats in the state and shared optimism about the NDA’s goal of surpassing 400 seats.

Q: Voting has been conducted for 12 seats during the first phase in Rajasthan. What is the assessment of victory on these seats?

A: In the 12 seats where voting took place in the state, there was huge voting in favor of BJP. We are winning all these 12 seats. The public has faith in Prime Minister Modi ji. Based on the sentiment of the public towards Modi ji, I can confidently state that we will secure a significant victory on the 12 seats where elections have taken place.

Q: The voter turnout has slightly decreased in the 12 seats where elections have been conducted. Do you believe that certain seats are in a deadlock?

A: The voting has definitely reduced, but the votes cast are for BJP only. The opposition doesn’t even seem to be interested in contesting elections. They don’t even know whether they are contesting elections or not. Therefore, the votes that were cast, went only for BJP.

Q: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has raised the slogan of crossing 400, will this target be achieved?

A: NDA’s target this time has crossed 400. He will definitely cross. the prevailing environment in the country is towards working. The way Prime Minister Modi ji is working, everyone wants Modi ji to be re-elected as Prime Minister once again. Modi ji has worked for the poor, for farmers and for the common people. That’s why the public has full faith in Modi ji.

Q: Modi ji and you talk about crossing 400, but the opposition says that after this the Constitution will change and secondly that reservation will end?

A: I want to tell you as a journalist yourself, you’re well aware that the Congress has a history of resorting to falsehoods and corruption, only lies and loot which continues in the current election. If we take a look at any of their manifestos, we see focus only on caste, sect, and religion. Through you, I want to highlight how the Congress has repeatedly abused the Constitution, undermining democracy by frequently dismissing elected governments and imposing President’s rule. They have no right to talk about democracy.

Q: Right now the manifesto of Congress is also in discussion. In this, the issue of assessing the property and depositing it in case of excess is a burning topic. What would you like to say on this?

A:The Congress has always been inclined towards appeasement, and their manifestos never prioritize public welfare issues. They only focus on local sentiments because they never intend to fulfill these promises. We have a resolution document that we work on from day one to fulfill.

Q: You have traveled throughout Rajasthan in these five months. In such a situation, what is the priority of the government and what are the visible challenges before you?

A: I want to tell you that a lot has to be done and a lot of work is required to make the state a leading state in the country. We will make it a developed state under the leadership of Modi ji. Even today water crisis is a major issue in the rural areas of the state. So works needs to be done and to resolve this problem we have started working from the very first day.

Q: CM Saheb, an essential project in Eastern Rajasthan became a significant topic during the assembly elections. However, how was an issue that persisted for years resolved within just a month of the BJP government assuming power in the state? Although you accomplished this task, people refer to him as a magician.

A: Those who have a strong will to work, get the work done. Modi ji works for the welfare of the poor and farmers.

Tell me, in which budget was this mentioned earlier? The Congress government had no concern for this scheme. During their time, the then Chief Minister Kamal Nath even took this matter to court. We were determined to fulfill this scheme. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh and I sat down twice and informed the Centre. Consequently, a solution was found.
