In the contemporary global world, the strength of the country is not only judged on the basis of an economic or modern military basis, but also by the performance of its athletes in the sports arenas. About 65 percent of India`s population is youth— less than 35 years of age. Meanwhile, besides focusing on the quality education, institutions like the University of Delhi must also ensure that the students must actively participate in the athletic activities, so that in the prospect, they would bring laurels to the country.
