The couple’s wedding began with a civil ceremony at home, followed by a lively reception at Bastian, attended by close friends and members of the film industry. They recently shared a charming video filled with candid moments, capturing the joy and essence of their special day.
In a joint post accompanying the video, Sonakshi and Zaheer reflected on the memorable day: “Family, friends, love, friendship, laughter, silly comments, kids running around, happy tears, excitement, bloopers, screeches, fun, joy, anticipation, nerves, emotions, and above all just pure happiness—this was our chaotic little Shaadi ka ghar… and it was PERFECT… it was US.

The video features Sonakshi’s friends serenading her with “Sona Kitna Sona Hai” from the movie Hero No 1, humorously substituting ‘hero’ with ‘jiju,’ which prompts Sonakshi to laugh heartily as Zaheer signs their marriage certificate. Sonakshi and Zaheer, who had been dating for seven years, chose to get married on the anniversary of the day they fell in love. Sharing their love story, the couple wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017), in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it.
