It’s not a secret that people fear snakes. Only a few may be amazed by them and even maintain them in a pet, while others would stay miles away from them. So, for those who feel they get queasy before a snake, we challenge you to take a look at this viral video that is doing the rounds on the web.
The shocking video shows a man handling a massive Western Diamondback rattlesnake in his bare hands. Views and users of social media are divided between amazement and incredulity.
The viral video appeared on the popular social networking service of Instagram. It is by none other than Nick the Wrangler, a wildlife enthusiast who describes his mission as “To inspire and be a voice for our animals!” The video run close to 400,000 views and opened a floodgate of reactions.
In this video, the YouTuber walks toward the humongous rattlesnake with ease and control. He grabs hold of its tail and goes on to lift the venomous reptile off into the air. Such bravery in a hazardous situation can send shivers down anybody’s spine.
For people who are fearfully controlled by such reptiles, that is the stuff of nightmares, but Wrangler is completely unflapped, perhaps leaving many in their audience wondering if he is sane at all.
The Internet was hardly short of comment on this adrenaline-pumping encounter. Some comments ranged from sheer horror, while others sounded almost astonished with admiration.
Many people were shocked; others praised the man for his bravery while handling the snake. One said, “Can’t believe he just did that. My worst nightmare!” Another said, “He must have nerves of steel. I wouldn’t go near that thing.” A third commentator even went on to say, “How does he do it? This man has a death wish.” But not everybody was terrified; one found admiration in saying, “What an incredible person! The way he handles them is amazing.” On the lighter side, another one said, “Nope, I’ll stay behind the screen, thank you very much.” One even consolidated the duality of the experience by saying, “I’m impressed but also terrified at the same time!”
This is not the first time this wildlife enthusiast has exposed the world to his dangerous exploits dealing with reptiles. He had previously featured in a video where he is handling a 12-foot-long king cobra with confidence; the man was even kissing the head of the snake before posing with him.
