As Kuldeep Yadav walked towards the crease to take guard, Rishabh Pant was seen teasing him by putting his fingers inside Kuldeep’s helmet and pulling on his hand and jersey. On the cricket front, India A were dismissed for 231 runs, handing India B a 90-run lead after the latter posted 321 runs in the first innings. Kuldeep contributed a solitary run to India A’s total. In the second innings, Pant, who managed just seven runs in his first outing, made a strong comeback with a quickfire half-century off just 34 balls. His explosive knock included seven boundaries and a six, putting India B in a commanding position.
India B’s Musheer Khan played a crucial role in his team’s first-innings total, scoring a magnificent 181 off 373 balls. His impressive knock, spanning over 484 minutes at the crease, was marked by exceptional timing and confidence. Khan’s innings ended when he was caught by Riyan Parag off Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling in the second over after lunch on Day 2.
For India A, KL Rahul top-scored with 37, while Mayank Agarwal added 36 runs. Captain Shubman Gill could only manage 25, and Riyan Parag contributed 32 runs. Despite solid starts, India A couldn’t match India B’s total, falling behind by 90 runs.
