A content creator’s heartwarming journey of fulfilling his dream of having tea at The Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai has captured the internet’s attention. The viral video, shared by Adnan Pathan, a creator from a “middle-class” background, has garnered over 20 million views and more than a million likes on Instagram.

The Taj Mahal Palace, India’s first 5-star hotel, is a symbol of luxury and grandeur. Many dream of visiting it at least once in their lifetime, and for Pathan, this dream came true. The video begins with his excitement as he prepares to visit the iconic hotel for a cup of tea.
Pathan showcases the hotel’s breathtaking interiors, adorned with opulent designs and photographs of famous celebrities who have graced the establishment. “Ye Taj andar se itna khoobsurat hai ki mujhe lag raha tha main kisi raj mahal mein aagya [Taj is so beautiful from the inside that I felt like I was in a royal palace],” he says in the video.
He then shares a glimpse of his order — Bom Hi-Tea, priced at Rs 1,800, with a final bill of Rs 2,124 including taxes. The Hi-Tea included a cup of Indian tea along with snacks such as vada pav, grilled sandwiches, kaju katli, khari puff, and butter. While the experience was memorable, Pathan described the tea as “average” and rated it 5 out of 10.
The video concludes with Pathan encouraging others to have such an experience at least once in their life. “Zindagi mein aesa experience ek baar zarur karna chahiye [You should definitely have this experience once in your life],” he remarks.
