A video purporting to show Ferozepur-born Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Surinder Kamboj using the electronic voting machine to cast his ballot has emerged as the seventh and last phase of the Lok Sabha elections gets underway.
Surinder Kamboj has a contentious past with about 14 criminal convictions against him, including extortion and fraud. His son, Jagdeep Singh Goldy Behl, is an Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Jalalabad, Punjab. He was taken into custody on April 21st of last year on suspicion of extortion, and in October he was freed on bond.

In addition, Kamboj was charged with car theft in 2007 after the Chandigarh Police linked him to a flesh trade ring. During this crucial and final stage of the election, the video has gone viral and garnered a lot of attention.
