BJP MLA Sarita Bhadoria narrowly escaped injury after slipping and falling onto the railway tracks during the flagging-off ceremony for the Agra Cantt-Banaras Vande Bharat Express at Etawah Junction on Monday.

The incident occurred amid a chaotic scene at the platform. A security guard lost his footing, inadvertently causing Bhadoria to tumble onto the tracks. Fortunately, quick actions by security personnel and party workers helped her back onto the platform, allowing the ceremony to continue as planned.

In a separate event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several Vande Bharat trains, including India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad. Other new routes included Nagpur to Secunderabad, Kolhapur to Pune, Agra Cantt to Banaras, Durg to Visakhapatnam, Pune to Hubballi, and the first 20-coach Vande Bharat train running from Varanasi to Delhi.

The Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to depart Agra at 5:05 p.m., stop at Tundla at 6:05 p.m., Kanpur at 7:50 p.m., and arrive in Varanasi at 11:55 p.m. For the return trip, the train will leave Varanasi at 12:30 a.m. and reach Agra by 8:00 a.m. This train will operate six days a week, excluding Fridays, though exact schedule and fare details have yet to be announced.
