On Tuesday morning, eight containers fell off a goods train near Taraori in Haryana’s Karnal district, officials reported. The containers were empty, and no casualties occurred. Restoration efforts are ongoing.
The incident happened while the train was en route from Ambala to Delhi, and railway authorities are investigating the cause. A Government Railway Police official stated, “Eight containers fell off. The reasons for the same are under investigation by the railway authorities. The train was on its way from Ambala to Delhi when the incident happened near Taraori in Karnal.” Rail traffic on the Ambala-Delhi route has been affected.
