Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed a memorial lecture organized at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Memorial in Dhankya, Jaipur, on the 56th death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He said that Upadhyay dedicated his life to empowering the underprivileged, and his thoughts serve as the foundation for social change in the country.
The Vice President emphasized Upadhyay’s vision of women playing a crucial role in the country’s development, and he highlighted the significant progress India has made in the past decade, particularly in terms of unprecedented economic growth and global recognition.
Vice President Dhankhar praised the concept of “Antyodaya” (upliftment of the last person) and stated that it has led to remarkable development in the country.
He called for promoting local industries and self-employment through the “Vocal for Local” initiative. The Vice President emphasized that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s ideas are crucial for bringing about social change in the country.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma echoed these sentiments, stating that Upadhyay’s philosophy of integral humanism establishes equality and justice in society. He emphasized that Upadhyay’s ideology forms the basis of the state government’s plans and programs for the overall development of the common people.
Industry and Commerce Minister Rajvardhan Rathore expressed that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay dedicated his entire life to the principle of “Antyodaya” for the welfare of humanity. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for achieving comprehensive development across the nation.
Before the program, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma paid homage to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay by offering floral tributes at the national memorial and inaugurated an exhibition in the memorial complex. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Bairwa, RSS regional pracharak Nimbaram, industrialist and social worker Rajesh Gautam, and Prof. Mohan Lal Cheepa, Chairman of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Celebration Committee, were present at the occasion.
