Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has been unwinding in Mumbai with his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, and their two children, Vamika and Akaay, following a tough three-Test series against New Zealand in which he managed only 93 runs as India was swept 3-0. Now, Kohli is gearing up for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy, a five-match series against Australia starting in Perth on November 22, 2024.
Recently, Virat and Anushka enjoyed a peaceful lunch outing at Benne Bombay, a South Indian café located in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The couple, who avoid chicken, non-vegetarian foods, and even paneer, also opted out of Italian cuisine, choosing instead to indulge in South Indian favorites. They relished items like crispy dosas and idli podi, exploring the café’s authentic offerings.
The restaurant’s official Instagram shared snapshots of the couple’s visit, showing Kohli posing with Anushka and the café staff. They also posted a picture of Kohli’s food bill, which included dishes like Benne Masala Dosa and Benne Podi. Anushka Sharma liked the post, and Kohli even signed a cap for a staff member with the message, “Go Benne!”

Last month, for Karwa Chauth, the couple was seen attending a kirtan by Krishna Das, popularly known as the “Rock Star of Yoga,” who blends traditional Indian chanting with contemporary music. Videos and photos of the couple at the kirtan circulated widely on social media, with Kohli sporting a green sweatshirt and blue jeans.
