Momos are an all-time favorite snack, available in various forms, from tandoori to crispy fried chicken. They’ve also been the subject of many creative culinary experiments. The latest addition? Mango momos. Unsurprisingly, this innovation hails from Delhi.

In a video shared by a food vlogger, a vendor, inspired by fellow momo seller Sikander, who went viral for his momo omelette, introduces the unique mango momo dish. The clip starts with the vendor deep-frying pre-made momos. He then prepares a sauce by adding mango slices, pouring an entire bottle of Maaza, sprinkling red chili powder, and mixing in a generous amount of cream. After cooking the sauce, he tosses in the fried momos and garnishes them with more cream.

How Social Media Reacted:

Despite the vendor’s enthusiasm, the internet has not taken kindly to this unusual combination of momos and mangoes. Many users expressed their disdain in the comments, with “RIP Momos” being a frequent reaction.

One user lamented, “Will not forgive this generation whoever even tastes it,” while another pleaded, “Mere momos ke saath aisa mat karo please [Don’t do this with my momos, please].”

Some comments were more extreme, such as “Give me poison instead,” and one user who had tried the dish shared, “It’s not good, have tried.”

Another comment sarcastically suggested, “Bhai, thoda Harpic bhi daaldo [Please add some Harpic to the mix],” with many others dubbing the dish “Jaanleva momos [Poisonous momos].”

This isn’t the first time momos have been subjected to strange experiments; earlier, Sikander’s momo omelette had also caused quite a stir online. Inspired by his daughter’s love for momos, he concocted the dish, which also went viral.
