Constant push notifications from companies on smartphones can be quite bothersome, but comedian Vir Das found a humorous way to address the issue. When bombarded with notifications from quick commerce company Zepto, Das took to Instagram to share his frustration and urge the company to stop. Zepto, in response, hinted at “flirting” with the comedian but agreed to cease the notifications.
Sharing a screenshot of the notifications, Das humorously expressed his annoyance, stating, “I don’t care if you’re thirsty. Your eggplant needs to leave my mushroom button alone. I don’t want my choco filled. I am not your paneer. Stop.”
In the caption of his Instagram post, Das simply wrote, “Zepto. Stop,” accompanied by a laughing emoticon.
The 45-year-old comedian’s screenshot showed that Zepto had sent him four notifications in less than 10 minutes, with messages like “Vir: I am thirsty,” “You’re like paneer,” and “You are so beautiful, Vir.”
