New and disturbing details have emerged in the alleged gang rape case of an athlete in Varanasi, sending shockwaves through the community. The victim’s mother has come forward with a chilling account, claiming her daughter was repeatedly assaulted by a staggering 23 individuals over a seven-day period, from March 29th to April 4th.
The victim’s ordeal first came to light when her father reported to the Lalpur Pandeypur police station on Sunday, stating his daughter had been gang-raped in a moving vehicle. The father is reportedly in poor health after witnessing his daughter’s traumatized state.
Based on the mother’s complaint, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against 12 named individuals and 11 unidentified persons. So far, six arrests have been made in connection with the case, and investigations are actively underway.
In the FIR, the victim’s mother detailed a horrifying sequence of events. She stated that her daughter had gone to a friend’s residence on March 29th. However, en route, her friend Raj Vishwakarma allegedly took her to a cafe and raped her. The mother further alleged that on March 31st, Sajid, Zahid, Anmol, and Danish took her daughter to another cafe and assaulted her.
The accusations continue with the mother stating that on April 1st, Sajid allegedly facilitated the rape of her daughter by three more of his friends. Adding to the horror, an unidentified individual also allegedly raped her daughter in a hotel.
The mother’s statement to the police paints a grim picture of repeated violations and manipulation. She claims that after her daughter left the hotel, she encountered Imran, who allegedly took her to another hotel and raped her. Following this, Sajid allegedly took the victim to a warehouse where he and his friends further assaulted her.
The mother’s account takes an even more disturbing turn as she describes an incident where her daughter, after leaving the warehouse, was sitting near IP Mall Sigra. There, a youth named Raj Khan allegedly offered her chowmein laced with intoxicants and then “did bad things with her.” The following day, Danish, Sohail, and Shoaib allegedly raped the girl.
The Lalpur Pandeypur police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into these grave allegations, with six individuals already in custody. The mother’s detailed account has brought the severity of the alleged crimes to the forefront, and the community awaits further developments in this deeply concerning case. The focus remains on ensuring justice for the victim and holding all those responsible accountable for their actions.
