A private school in Ghoti, Igatpuri taluka, Nashik, has landed in controversy after a surprise bag inspection revealed shocking contents in students’ backpacks. The school principal and staff were left stunned after they found knives, brass knuckles, condoms, playing cards, bicycle chains, and even suspected narcotics during the search.

The incident came to light after X user Raj Maji posted a video showing the confiscated items laid out on a table. “A shocking incident has come to light in Nashik, Maharashtra. In a private school in Ghoti, Igatpuri taluka, teachers found alarming items in students’ bags, including knives, playing cards, condoms, and bicycle chains,” the user wrote.

The surprise inspection was prompted after teachers disciplined several students for sporting unusual hairstyles. Suspecting deeper issues, the staff decided to inspect school bags, which led to this unsettling discovery. According to Lokmat Times, the items were recovered from Class 8 and 9 students.

“The teachers’ vigilance brought the issue to light,” Raj Maji added, “but the presence of such items in students’ bags raises concerns about their safety and well-being.”

Some teachers also suspected that a few students were under the influence of drugs and might have consumed narcotic substances on school premises. The matter was immediately reported to the police, and an investigation is currently underway.

This incident has sparked concern among parents, education authorities, and the public, raising questions about supervision, peer influence, and the growing need for counseling and stricter monitoring in schools.
