Bride Rejects Rs 1.2 Lakh/Month-Earning Groom Post-Jaimala, Demands Govt Job Husband

In a surprising turn of events in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad district, a bride refused to proceed with her marriage after the jaimala ceremony, upon learning that the groom worked in the private sector rather than holding the government job she had been assured of. Despite attempts to mediate, the bride stood firm, leaving both families in shock.

The marriage was arranged with an engineer from Balrampur, Chhattisgarh, based on claims by an intermediary that the groom was a government engineer with substantial property holdings. On the wedding night, after initial rituals were completed, the bride discovered the groom’s private-sector employment and immediately called off the ceremony.

Attempts by the groom to pacify the situation, including sharing a payslip showing his Rs 1.2 lakh monthly salary, failed to change her decision. The bride maintained her stance, asserting her refusal to marry someone outside the government sector.

As the situation drew a crowd, efforts to mediate proved futile. Eventually, the families agreed to settle the wedding expenses mutually. With no police complaints lodged, the groom’s party left without the bride, ending the night on an unexpected note.
