Sandhya, a resident of Telangana, was on a bus heading to celebrate Raksha Bandhan when she began experiencing labor pains. The situation unfolded when she was traveling, and the bus conductor, G. Bharti, along with a nurse, intervened to deliver the baby and ensure the well-being of both mother and child.
VC Sajjanar, Managing Director of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, detailed the incident on X. He described how, upon reaching Nachahalli, Garbini, Sandhya went into labor, and conductor G. Bharti, supported by a nurse, assisted in the delivery. Sandhya and her newborn baby girl were later transported to a hospital.
In his post, Sajjanar praised G. Bharti for her quick thinking and bravery, noting, “The mother and child are safe because of her promptness and timely delivery with the help of the nurse. It is a great thing that RTC employees are showing the spirit of service as a social responsibility while bringing the passengers safely to their destinations.”
