The allegations against a 26-year-old teacher for having sex with a 16-year-old student are now under investigation. After having intercourse, the student allegedly had “scratch marks” on her body.
Allegations against Teacher
When Hailey Clifton-Carmack was charged with having sex with student in December, the abuse became public knowledge, according to the Sun. On 23 December, she ran away to her family’s Texas house. On January 5, she was taken into custody on allegations of statutory second-degree rape, having intercourse with student, child molestation, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Afterwards, she acknowledged the accusations, even though she had before rejected them. Following the signing of a plea agreement, the charges were reduced to felonies related to sexual contact with students. Over a month, the offences were committed.
The former teacher was allegedly cautioned before for getting “too close with students” by the school where she began her career. The 16-year-old was having physical contact with the teacher when some of the offences occurred on campus, and his friends served as “lookouts” at this time, according to court records cited by the outlet.
After allegedly learning about and endorsing the extramarital affair, the victim’s father is being charged with a crime.
As stated by the prosecution and quoted by the outlet, he “knew of the relationship of his minor child and the 26-year-old teacher, and instead of reporting the information, he continued to cover for them and allowed the relationship to continue.”
