In a disturbing incident on the evening of February 2nd, a hotel operator in Madhawala, identified as Jatindra Singh from Patada Patiala, became the victim of a violent assault, leading to a road blockade. The incident unfolded near the Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan Gorakhnath Temple in Madhawala.
According to the complainant, Jatindra Singh, who operates a hotel in Madhawala, was on his way home in his car when, at approximately 8 pm, a collision occurred with a milkman riding a bike near the Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan Gorakhnath Temple in Madhawala. Following the collision, Jatindra Singh confronted the milkman, identified as Satnam from Satnam village, Kheda, accusing him of damaging his car.
In a shocking turn of events, Satnam allegedly responded by hurling a stone at Jatindra Singh’s car, shattering the glass. Subsequently, Satnam abandoned his bike at the scene and left, only to return later with another milkman and a group of approximately eight youths. They assaulted Jatindra Singh, leaving him injured and vandalizing his car. The attackers even went so far as to snatch a gold chain from the hotel operator before fleeing the scene after issuing threats.
The police were involved in the matter, and initially, a mutual settlement was reached at the Madhawala post. However, as Jatindra Singh continued on his way towards Pinjore, he encountered further trouble. Several drivers, including one in a Thar car, obstructed the road near Pinjore railway gate, causing a traffic jam due to poor road conditions.
Taking advantage of the situation, the milkmen and their accomplices reportedly descended from their vehicles and launched a second attack on Jatindra Singh, this time using sticks and rods. The assailants inflicted further injuries on the hotel operator and once again damaged his car. In a shocking act of aggression, they even forcibly removed a gold chain from his neck.
The attackers fled the scene after issuing life-threatening warnings to Jatindra Singh. The police are now investigating the case, and a formal complaint has been registered against the accused for road obstruction and assaulting the hotel operator.
