CM Dhami interacted with each worker during his visit to the Chinyalisaur Community Health Centre, where the rescued workers are receiving medical care, checking on their health and well-being. Accompanied by senior state officials, he praised everyone involved in the difficult mission, particularly Prime Minister Modi for his constant guidance and detailed insights into the operation.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering attention and consistent updates throughout the arduous rescue mission of 41 workers trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel.

Dhami emphasized the Prime Minister’s proactive involvement, detailing how PM Modi’s consistent oversight and advice motivated experts, contributing significantly to the mission’s success. He lauded PM Modi’s parental concern for the workers’ welfare and safety, expressing gratitude for the leadership ensuring the nation’s security.

Asserting that all rescued workers were in good health, CM Dhami announced a Rs 1 lakh award for each worker, recognizing their incredible bravery. He stated that, on the advice of doctors, all employees would have health checks at AIIMS Rishikesh.

Individuals like Vijay Rai from Uttar Pradesh credited both the central and state governments for the successful rescue, expressing immense happiness and relief at their family members’ safe return during his interaction with relatives of the rescued workers.

The workers had been trapped in the Silkyara tunnel since November 12, when a section collapsed between 205 and 260 meters from the Silkyara side. Their successful evacuation on Tuesday evening concluded a challenging ordeal that lasted several days, ending with all workers being safely rescued.
