In a tragic incident, a car fell into a deep ditch in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, causing the death of five people and leaving one grievously injured on Saturday.
This incident took place near Pani Wala Band on Mussoorie Dehradun Marg, Jhadipani Road.

As per Superintendent of Police (SP) of the city, Pramod Kumar, the car had lost the control and as a result, it fell into a deep pitch in which 5 people died and one girl got grievously injured.
Currently, the girl (Nancy) is undergoing treatment and as further revealed by SP, her condition is critical.
As Kumar also added, the car consisted of seven members. Out of which, 4 were boys two were girls. All of them were the students at Dehradun IMS College. They had come to Mussoorie for the trip.
They were returning to Dehradun in the morning, when this incident happened.
He also said that following this accident, emergency response teams arrived in the scene including Mussoorie Police, Fire Service, and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). The response teams managed to rescue two girls. And later they were sent to hospital.
But unfortunately, one of the girls succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Thus, raising the death toll to five.
