Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed on Saturday that the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a long-awaited and beautiful moment for Ram Bhakts after 500 years of anticipation. CM Dhami stated, “After waiting for 500 years, Ram Bhakts and people of the country are getting to be witnesses to this beautiful moment.”

Scheduled for January 22, the ‘Pran Praishtha’ ceremony involves placing the idol of Shri Ram Lalla inside the Sanctum Santorum of the temple. The Uttarakhand government has declared a half-day closure for all government offices and educational institutions in the state till 2:30 pm on January 22 to facilitate public participation in the historic event.

CM Dhami acknowledged the collective efforts in Uttarakhand leading up to the ceremony, including cleanliness drives, preparations for Deepotsav, and musical performances. He highlighted the significance of the day, noting that individuals in Uttarakhand are contributing to the event in various ways.

In anticipation of the ceremony, security measures have been heightened by the Uttarakhand police to ensure communal harmony and maintain law and order in the state. Additional Director General of Police, Crime, and Law and Order, AP Anshuman, emphasized strong police arrangements and coordination to uphold peace and order ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony and Republic Day celebrations.
