US President Joe Biden stated on Thursday that the US and its allies are attempting to link the Middle Eastern countries to a better future through creative initiatives like the India Middle East Economic Corridor. During his recently ended visit to Israel, Biden addressed the nation and requested that Congress provide financial support to the nation that has been the target of a Hamas terrorist attack.

“The United States and our partners across the region are working to build a better future for the Middle East. One wherein the Middle East is more stable, better connected to its neighbours through innovative projects like the Indian Middle East Europe rail corridor that I announced this year at the summit of the world’s biggest economies,” Biden said in his Oval Office address to the nation.

“More predictable markets, more employment, less rage, less grievances, less war when connected. The benefits of people would benefit the people of the Middle East and would benefit us. American leadership is what holds the world together,” said Biden in his second Oval Office presidential address.

On Wednesday night, Biden came back from a full day at the Israel conference. Among the people Biden said he met while in Israel were Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of his cabinet, as well as Israelis who had firsthand experience with the “horrific horror” of the October 7 Hamas attack. Hen said that following the Hamas attack, he saw Israelis who were angry, shocked, and in excruciating pain, but they were also strong, resilient, and determined.

The president urged Congress to give Israel more financial aid so that it can bolster its defense, reiterating his resolve and the resolve of all Americans to support Israel during this time of crisis.
