Rajeev Krishna has been appointed as the new Chairperson. Over 48 lakh candidates participated in the exam held on February 17 and 18.

On February 24, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board annulled the written examination for direct recruitment-2023 to the posts of reserved civilian police due to the alleged paper leak. Those who play with the hard work of the youth will not be spared under any circumstances. Strictest action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements.”

Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh government ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities and malpractice in the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) examination at the government level.
