A guy has been detained by Uttar Pradesh police on suspicion of killing an 8-year-old child and concealing his body in a sugarcane field following an unsuccessful attempt at rape.
Shivam, age 21, has been named as the accused.
Authorities in Bilaspur, Uttar Pradesh, state that the deceased man’s father had reported his son’s kidnapping to them.
Employees of the Bilaspur police station detained Shivam on Wednesday and filed a case against him in accordance with the applicable laws.
Sansar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police said, “A resident of Bilaspur, had come to the police station and lodged a complaint that his 8-year-old son was lured by his neighbour tenant Shivam and his body was found in a sugarcane field. He also confirmed that the CCTV cameras installed showed Shivam taking his son into the sugarcane field.”
