Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming consecration ceremony of the proposed Ram temple in January, set to be a grand and significant event. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has outlined a 40-day celebration plan to mark this historic occasion.
The celebration will kick off with Diwali festivities in every village, with each village adorned with lamps and electric garlands, mirroring the decorations in Ayodhya. Moreover, the consecration of Ramlala will take place in every village temple.
To take the spirit of Ram to every household, the VHP has organized six Shaurya Yatras, with two already underway and the remaining four commencing on September 30. These yatras will feature two chariots and over 100 vehicles, carrying images of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Rana Pratap, and other freedom fighters. A significant event is planned in Varanasi on October 10.
For the consecration day, 8,000 VIPs have been invited to the temple complex, while 25,000 people will be allowed to visit Ram Lalla. This includes those who contributed to the temple fund and were part of the temple movement. A 40-day program will enable Ram devotees from 5 lakh villages to visit Ram Lalla.
To reach 2 lakh villages across India, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will celebrate the event in all temples within these villages. Live telecasts will be shown on TV and LED screens, followed by temple worship and the distribution of Prasad.
To ensure the religious rituals align with Vedic tradition, scholars from Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and Varanasi, led by Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, are working diligently. Vedic ritual specialist Lakshiman Kant and his team are also in Ayodhya to finalize the program in accordance with religious traditions.
