My recent stay at the Taj Corbett Resort & Spa in Uttarakhand was nothing short of a dream. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Jim Corbett National Park, this resort is a haven for those seeking tranquility and a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The journey to the resort began with a pickup from my residence, followed by a scenic 5-hour drive through the picturesque landscapes of Uttarakhand. The drive itself was a refreshing experience, setting the tone for the staycation that lay ahead.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a traditional welcome that instantly made me feel at home. The staff, adorned in local attire, greeted me with warm smiles and traditional kumkum aarti – a testament to the renowned hospitality of Taj Hotels. I was then escorted to my suite, a luxurious space that was a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional aesthetics.
The suite offered a stunning view of the Kosi river, a sight that was a treat to the eyes every morning. The washroom was a treat to behold with luxury bath and skin products and a bathtub for those long relaxing showers. The serene sound of the river coupled with the chirping of birds and notoriousness of the monkeys created a symphony that was music to the ears. The resort was spread over a massive area and the sprawling lawns, the well-maintained gardens, infinite homegrown mango trees, jackfruit growing all around, and the abundance of greenery adding to the charm of the place.
The resort also has a well-equipped gym, a clean and inviting pool, a play area with table tennis, badminton zone, archery, and a wellness centre-cum-spa. The team also arranged a special Kosi Aarti, a mountain drive, safari and a nature walk for me which was invigorating and revelling. The highlight of my stay, however, was the food. The resort offered a variety of cuisines, including Kumaoni, and each dish prepared with utmost care and precision.
My stay at the Taj Corbett Resort & Spa was an experience that I will cherish for a long time. The stunning views, the serene environment, the impeccable services, and the warm hospitality made my stay a memorable one.
