As the U.S. heads to the polls to elect its next president, an Amazon tech executive has shared a powerful message on the importance of voting. Srini Iragavarapu, director of generative AI applications at Amazon, posted a photo on LinkedIn with his son at a ballot box, underscoring his commitment to civic duty as an American citizen originally from India.

“Just fulfilled my civic duty by voting: If you’re eligible to vote but haven’t yet done so, please exercise this right. Your location’s political leaning or your feelings about the candidates shouldn’t deter you,” he wrote, emphasizing that voting is essential even if one isn’t fully enthusiastic about the candidates.

“Voice matters,” he added, encouraging all eligible citizens to make their voices heard in this crucial election.
