Meghan Markle’s Sudden Exit from Invictus Games: Was It About Her Children or Something Else?

Meghan Markle’s Sudden Exit from Invictus Games: Was It About Her Children or Something Else?

Meghan Markle left the Invictus Games early, but her reasons may not be as simple as wanting to reunite with her children.

Backlash Over Video

Initially, Meghan attended the event to support her husband, Prince Harry. However, after just five days, she left, leaving him to continue without her. Sources reveal that Meghan was “stunned by the immediate backlash” to a video she posted before the games. This backlash almost made her cancel her trip to Canada. One insider shared, “She feels like everything she does turns to s**t these days and she’s very bitter about it.”

Blaming Her Team

Meghan has been known to blame her publicists and minders for the negative reactions. However, with so many people in those roles, the source suggests, “It must be dawning on her that the problem may lie with her.”

Avoiding Another PR Fiasco

Before leaving, Meghan Markle posted a video showing her meeting a family affected by the LA wildfires. The teenage girl in the family had lost a Billie Eilish tour t-shirt, which stood out to Markle. Meghan then gave the girl a gift pack of Eilish merchandise, which included autographed albums. She credited Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo for helping provide the gifts.

Despite the warm gesture, insiders suggest Meghan may have left early to avoid another public relations issue after the negative response to the video.

Official Reason for Her Departure

The official reason for her exit, however, was to reunite with her children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, in California. A source told the Daily Mail, “This was always planned. Meghan is going home to be with her children.” Although her presence at the games was to support Prince Harry, her departure was prearranged.
