Agartala-Kolkata via Dhaka likely to be started by both India and Bangladesh PMs

If everything is right, then PM Modi and Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina may jointly inaugurate the first train service from Agartala to Kolkata. PM Hasina is expected to visit India in September to attend the G-20 Summit at the invitation of PMI. During that visit, both PMs may meet for a bilateral meeting! During the meeting, both PMs will flag off the train! It will be another example of cross-border connectivity, as Agartala will be connected with Akhaura across the border. After this, a train from Agartala will reach Kolkata in the shortest possible time. Earlier, it took almost 18 hours. Once the new connectivity starts, people from both countries will avail themselves of remarkable opportunities. Already, people in Tripura are excited, as it would not only boost connectivity but also have immense trade potential.
