Jaya Pal, Umesh Pal’s wife, thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for “instant justice” after Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad was killed in an encounter on Thursday. His mother praised the CM as well, saying she had complete faith in the state administration. Asad was wanted for the murder of Umesh Pal.
“I thank CM Yogi ji for serving justice, and I implore him to do the same for us in the future. We have complete faith in the CM,” said Umesh Pal’s mother, Shanti Devi, in Prayagraj on Thursday.
“This is a tribute to my son,” Shanti Devi, mother of deceased lawyer Umesh Pal, said of the police encounter today in Jhansi with former MP Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad and his aide.

Following the encounter, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister congratulated all officers involved. He met with the special director general and praised the officers. Sanjay Prasad, the Home Secretary, had updated the Chief Minister on Asad’s encounter.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister KP Maurya thanked the UP STF after former MP Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad and an aide were slain in a police encounter. They were wanted in connection with the death of lawyer Umesh Pal.
