In the eerie world of haunted objects, few entities evoke as much fear as dolls believed to be possessed or cursed. Among these, a bridal doll from South Yorkshire, England, is gaining infamy as possibly the most haunted doll in the UK. According to paranormal investigator Lee Steer, this doll, which allegedly harbors the spirit of a spurned bride, has “attacked” at least 17 men, scratching them and causing other unsettling phenomena.
Lee Steer, who runs the Haunted Objects Museum in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, purchased the doll for over $1,000 on eBay. Since then, the doll has become notorious for its violent behavior, particularly towards men. Steer, who has experienced the doll’s wrath firsthand, claims to have been scratched on his back while in the museum’s “bridal doll room.” The paranormal investigator believes that the doll harbors a deep-seated hatred for men, especially married ones.
Steer stated, “People say it goes around scratching married men and hates married men. I suspect it to be the most haunted doll in the UK.” His claims are supported by over 15 other reports from individuals who have visited the museum and experienced similar scratches.
According to Steer, the bridal doll exhibits strange and unsettling behavior when women are present, including moving objects and turning lights on and off. These paranormal activities have reportedly intensified since Steer acquired merchandise from the popular horror movie series The Conjuring, which centers on a possessed doll named Annabelle.
Steer recounted an incident where he felt a burning sensation on his neck during a paranormal investigation with his partner, Sarah Carter. He later discovered that he had been scratched, a common occurrence for those who come into contact with the doll.
Colleague’s Encounter with the “Angry Bride”
Steer’s coworker, Jon-Paul Kenny, also had a disturbing experience while recording a TikTok Live in the wedding doll area of the museum with his partner, Kymmi Jeffrey. Kenny described feeling someone grab his shirt and touch his skin, an experience he attributes to the haunted bridal doll.
Kenny explained to the Daily Star, “I had my shirt on, and I was just talking to her when I felt someone grab my shirt and my skin was touched.” He is convinced that the doll is responsible for the encounter.
The bridal doll’s malevolent behavior has sparked curiosity and fear among paranormal enthusiasts and the public alike. As the legend of the “most haunted doll in the UK” continues to grow, the question remains: Is this merely a case of mass hysteria, or is there something truly sinister about this eerie bridal doll?
