Haryana Congress State President Chaudhary Udaybhan courted controversy after he made a controversial statement on the Vice-President Jaideep Dhankhar. He has said that a bent Jat and a broken bed (Jhuka hua jat, tooti hui Khat) are useless. Further he said that in the case of wrestlers, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait was a Jat, but his tears were not seen. Sakshi Malik is also a Jat, but the Vice President did not see her tears.

Earlier, the Congress state president had come up with controversial statements regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal which also led to a political uproar. It is pertinent to mention that a few days ago, a video from the parliament showing Trinamul MP Kalyan Banerjee mimicking the Vice-President surfaced and the Prime Minister Narender Modi and President Draupadi Murmi criticised the incident . Following his statement, the BJP leaders took on the state Congress president seeking his apology for his controversial statement.

During his address in a program held here on Monday in Jind, Udaybhan said that even during the farmers’ agitation against three contentious agricultural laws, around 80% of percent of agitators were from the Jat community and the farmer leader Rakesh Tikait also hailed from the Jat community. But irrespective of all these factors and taking no note of his tears, the Vice President remained silent which is not fair. Citing wrestlers’ issue, Udaybhan also said that Jagdeep Dhankhar also took no cognizance of the tears of Sakshi Malik, a wrestler from the Jat community. It is pertinent to mention that in response to questions pertaining to gangrap incident held in Panipat and women reservation bill, Udaybhand had made a fore-said controversial statement. Udaybhan has refused to apologize for his statement stating that – “I stand by my statement. If any one finds anything wrong then, can move to court.

On the statement of Haryana Congress State President Chaudhary Udaybhan on the Vice President, hitting back at him, BJP State President Nayab Saini said that Congress has insulted the Dalits and Bhimrao Ambedkar .Now, Udaybhan is insulting Vice President of India which is very unfortunate. It is a noticeable fact that the migration of Dalits was witnessed during the regime of Congress and the Congress will not be able to save even a single seat in the opposition in the forthcoming elections. Further he said that Udaybhan has become habitual of doing such things as earlier, he has used abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
