Two terrorists including JeM terrorist killed in J&K's Awantipora

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists on Monday in the Wandakpora area of Awantipora in which two terrorist were neutralised, including Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists.

The killed JeM terrorist has been identified as Kaiser Kola, and the identification of the second terrorist is yet to be ascertained.

Taking to Twitter, Jammu and Kashmir tweeted, “Awantipora Encounter Update: 01 more terrorist killed (Total 02). Search going on. Further details shall follow.”

The police have also recovered incriminating material, arms, and ammunition from the terrorists.

“Terrorist Kaiser Kola neutralized. Identification of 2nd terrorist being ascertained. Incriminating materials, arm & ammunition including 01 USA made rifle (M-4 Carbine), 01 pistol and other materials have been recovered,” the police briefed in another tweet.

Earlier in the day, the police informed that JeM terror Kaiser Koka has been active since 2018. However, the Jammu and Kashmir police announced that the search operation is still in progress.

“#Awantipora Encounter Update: Notorious #terrorist of JeM terror outfit namely Kaiser Koka active since 2018 trapped in the encounter,” said ADGP Kashmir.

Meanwhile, on July 3, Jammu and Kashmir’s police arrested two most wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The two apprehended terrorists were identified as Faizal Ahmad Dar and Talib Hussain. Residents of Tuksan Dhok village apprehended the terrorists. However, over 100 terrorists have been killed in security operations this year.
