Anuraj (22), a local of Muttakkavu in Kunnathukal, was detained for reportedly breaking into a home and attempting to molest a woman. The 28-year-old woman was with her children when the incident occurred.
The woman cried for help and alerted neighbours.
The accused tried to escape by the time neighbours rushed to the spot.
