Garcetti said, “I am here today in Lucknow to celebrate World Toilet Day and to see the incredible results that India has brought to this mission to make sure everybody has health, everybody has dignity, everybody has opportunity.” He further stated, “We’ve seen Prime Minister Modi’s vision, we’ve seen states like UP take that, and the United States is a proud partner, designing toilets together, recycling water together, finding ways that we can take plastic off the streets and turn them into portable toilets. And I think until every human being has a toilet that she or he can use, our work is undone. But I am very inspired by India. We see this across Bharat, and now we want to take those lessons around the world together…”
