Soha Ali Khan-Kunal Kemmu’s Intimate Home Wedding Video Reemerges: Reflecting on Simpler Times

After the widely-covered wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, an old video from actors Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu’s private wedding has resurfaced on social media. Anant, son of India’s wealthiest man Mukesh Ambani, recently married Radhika in a grand ceremony attended by thousands of guests.

In stark contrast, Soha and Kunal Kemmu opted for a simple and intimate wedding back in 2015, which is now being appreciated on social media amidst the trend of extravagant Indian weddings. Soha, announcing her engagement with Kunal in 2014, had shared, “It gives me great happiness to share with you all that Kunal proposed to me in Paris with the most perfect ring in the world and I said yes.” The couple, now parents to their six-year-old daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, chose a path to wedlock that emphasized intimacy and elegance.

Despite her royal lineage as the daughter of actor Sharmila Tagore and late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan, known as Tiger Pataudi, Soha and Kunal’s wedding was attended mainly by close family members like brother Saif Ali Khan, mother Sharmila Tagore, and sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor, along with a few close friends including Arpita Khan and Neha Dhupia.

In a nostalgic video from their wedding, Kunal and Soha were seen sharing heartfelt moments, prompting comments on social media praising their choice for simplicity and elegance. One user remarked, “Being from a royal family, she (Soha) kept simplicity and elegance intact. This is beauty.” Another noted, “People are born with class, money cannot buy class.” The sentiment echoed that ultimately, weddings are about personal choices and values.
