A recent online purchase turned into a nightmare for Gajender Yadav when he discovered live worms in a carton of Amul high-protein buttermilk. Yadav took to social media platform X to express his frustration, condemning the dairy giant for the unpleasant surprise. “I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction after discovering worms in the buttermilk I purchased recently,” he wrote, sharing photos and videos as evidence.

Yadav questioned the quality control measures of Amul, a brand he had always trusted. He posted a video showing spilled buttermilk with white worms crawling on the carton and shared a picture of the rotten buttermilk he received. “Almost half of the packets were opened/torn and the buttermilk was already rotten. An extremely bad smell was coming from the buttermilk,” he added, urging Amul to take immediate action. He also posted screenshots of an email he sent to Amul, demanding they collect the evidence for testing to avoid any false accusations later.

In an update, Yadav mentioned that Amul had apologized for the incident. He went on to say that Amul Kanpur was sending someone to fix the problem and that they would give a refund. Yadav was requested to get rid of the infected boxes and denied their offer to replace the product.

Yadav later received a call from Amul’s Gujarat Head Office. “They are sorry for the incident. They have checked the timeline and, as per them, this happened because of a delay from their logistics team/partner. They have assured me that they are taking this incident very seriously,” he shared.

In his concluding remarks, Yadav advised Amul to ensure dairy products are delivered within three days, emphasizing that delays harm the brand’s reputation. Amul promised to pass on the feedback and work on improving their delivery process.

Yadav’s post quickly went viral, drawing shocked reactions from the public.
