The latest from Maruti Suzuki in the market is also its flagship vehicle. The Invicto essentially is a cross-badged model of the immensely popular Toyota Innova Hycross and but it comes with some key differences too. Primary amongst them is a unique design and absence of a petrol variants along with ADAS features.

Design
The Invicto looks more like a car from the Maruti Suzuki Nexa family and less like the Hycross which is a good thing.
It gets signature elements like the NEXwave front grille with a sweeping cross bar that connects the twin LED headlamps. These are integrated with NEXTre’ LED DRLs and you see the same pattern on the tail lamps as well.
The car gets 17-inch alloys instead of the 18-inch ones seen on the Hycross
but due to a better profile they look much more in proportion to the overall size of the vehicle. Colour options include Next Blue, Mystic White, Majestic Silver and Stellar Bronze.
Interiors
The cabin of the MPV gets a wide sweeping instrument panel and the Champagne Gold accents give it a different identity when compared to the Hycross.
The use of soft touch leatherette makes the cabin look premium while the seats too are adorned with textured plush covers. Features include a dual-zone climate control system for front & rear rows, panoramic sunroof, 8-way powered driver seat with memory function and ventilated front seats. The MPV gets 7 and 8-seater configurations with the former getting captain seats in 2nd row.
The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with in-built Suzuki Connect technology which gets more than 50 connected features. You also have Alexa and smartwatch connectivity along with 7-inch multi-information display.
Features like a Wireless charger, Air Purifier,
Dash cam and Ambient lighting are available as accessories.

Engine
The Invicto features the “Intelligent Electric Hybrid” system where a 2.0L engine is coupled with an e-CVT transmission. This self-charging Strong Hybrid system incorporates a dual powertrain system, combining an electric motor and a petrol engine. The company is claiming a fuel-efficiency of 23.24kmpl on the car.
The Strong Hybrid system offers multiple drive modes called EV, Normal, Eco and Power. They allow an easy transition between the engine, hybrid and electric drive modes. The setup can also harness the combined power of both sources depending on the driving situation. The hybrid system also continuously monitors driving conditions to coordinate with both the power sources as and when required for a spirited yet sustainable drive.

Safety
Safety features on the MPV include 6 Airbags, Front and Rear Disc brakes, Electronic parking Brake with Auto Hold, ABS with EBD, Vehicle Stability Control with Hill Hold Assist and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Apart from this you also get a 360 view camera and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
