The Delhi police have clarified that a toy gun was used for lighting the candles on birthday cakes in one of the clubs in the Punjabi Bagh area.
A video of a woman lighting the cake with a pistol in a club in the Punjabi Bagh area went viral on social media.
Reacting to it, the Delhi Police analyzed the video but could not draw any conclusions given the fact that the video quality was very poor.
According to DCP West Vichitra Veer, the proprietor of the claimed establishment was immediately called to the police station for an inquiry into the matter.
On being questioned, he produced a toy-lighter-pistol, which, he said, they give to their customers to light the candles when they come to celebrate their birthdays.
He added that the police station and entire district police are committed to bringing any lawbreakers to justice, but it is also necessary to conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter before drawing conclusions.
