The Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai has told the media that the party will finalise its alliance partners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by end of February. While the ruling DMK and the AIADMK are already in talks with various parties, the BJP is yet to make any announcements and seems to be biding its time. Speaking to reporters on Monday, K Annamalai said, “Efforts are going on for forming an alliance. All those who accept Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership are welcome to the alliance. All political parties here are saying their respective alliance would be finalised by the end of February because they know it is a tough task and the alliance scenario is quickly changing in the state. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the alliances were finalised in January itself. Now the situation is different and by the end of February, a clear picture about the alliance will emerge.”

The saffron party leader said he was very confident about his party’s success in the upcoming elections. Annamalai said, “The ground reality about electoral prospects has changed in Tamil Nadu and it will be reflected in the results of the Lok Sabha elections.
This time, the BJP will come in first place in many constituencies and as runners-up in a few.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be joining K Annamalai at the culmination of his En Mann En Makkal Yatra on February 25. The February 25 meeting at Palladam will see around 10 lakh BJP cadres and members of the public participating.

The BJP members in-charge for Tamil Nadu are Aravindh Menon and Sudhakar Reddy and they were present Annamalai when he was addressing the media. 38 committees have been announced by the state BJP for managing different works for the Lok Sabha elections. The election manifesto committee is headed by senior BJP leader H Raja with Raama Srinivasan, SK Karvendhan and KP Ramalingam as members.
