On Thursday, Trinamool Congress MPs entered the Rajya Sabha Well with black cloth tied around their mouths, causing both Houses to adjourn. A similar protest was seen in the Lok Sabha as well.

Opposition MPs have been protesting against the government, demanding a JPC investigation into the allegations against the Adani Group. The party’s MPs from both Houses entered the Well before the Presiding Officers arrived, wearing black cloth around their faces.

They kept pointing to the Treasury benches and yelling “Ministers and MPs from the BJP are not allowing the opposition to speak. Refusing to allow the opposition to express themselves.” In a statement, the MPs said that they will be repeating the protest at 2:00 p.m.
