Written and directed by the very talented Sai Kabir, ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ stars Avneet Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role. The film has finally been released on Prime Video. For those unaware, it received backlash on social media platforms due to 27 years age gap between the lead pairs, but Nawazuddin Siddiqui defended this casting choice. The film is also Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut’s debut as a producer in her production house ‘Manikarnika Films’.

Talking about Tiku Weds Sheru, Kangana Ranaut said in her statement, “Tiku Weds Sheru is a very special film for me, as it’s the first title under Manikarnika Films. This is the first time I took charge as a producer, and I absolutely enjoyed the process. It was a challenging yet enriching experience for me.”
Talking about her big Bollywood debut, Avneet Kaur said, “This is very special to me. I was just crying while watching the trailer. Just to say that, it’s my debut, and getting to do my first film with Nawaz sir and Kangana Ma’am chose me as her Tiku, that was so special for me. I just wanted to prove, that I can and I will do justice to this character because I know, Tiku is so close to her heart.”
