In the experimental world of food, there is a new dish which has both fascinated and outraged the online community. Recently, a chef posted a video that was mixing two completely different dishes, Chicken Tikka and Chocolate. The food enthusiasts were shocked. The weird combination was able to go viral, but it has been getting lots of criticism since most of the viewers are disbelieving and disgusted with the thought of pairing the savoury chicken tikka with sweet chocolate.
The chef begins by preparing a chocolate mold. He spreads food colouring on it and then layers in the melted white and milk chocolate into the silicone container. The surprise lies in the fact that he adds chunks of Chicken Tikka into the mold, seals it again with more chocolate, and puts it in the freezer. Once frozen, he unmolds the dish and presents an unusual, not-to-the-point combination of savoury and sweet. However, the chef doesn’t taste the dish himself; he concludes the video by asking his viewers, “What Are Your Thoughts On Chicken Tikka Chocolate?”

The video has gained millions of views very quickly, and though some are interested in the fusion, the majority of users have shown discontent. Many complained about the weird dish, one of them saying, “Just cause you can, doesn‘t mean you should.” Others condemned the combination as disrespect to traditional Indian food, saying, “Stop disrespecting Indian Foods…and making a mockery out of our culture.”
As the video spread, some critics asked if this was just another attempt at viral content. “Anything for the sake of a viral video,” remarked one user, while others noted that the chef himself was unwilling to taste his creation. “Chef was not ready to risk testing his own dish after watching the reaction,” one person pointed out.
As culinary experimentation pushes the boundaries, Chicken Tikka Chocolate is one of the creations that have gone too far for many. It reminds us that not all food combinations should be blended, and some should better be left to imagination. Whether this dish will enter the mainstream or fade into obscurity is still to be seen. But for the meantime, it seems that food enthusiasts hold a one-vote majority in agreement that some things should just not be mess with.
