Taare Zameen Par’ is an upcoming Hindi language kids reality show on StarPlus providing a platform to children with singing talent. It’s releasing on 2 November. The series will be hosted by the child actress Aakriti Sharma and singer Sugandha Mishra. Shankar Mahadevan, Jonita Gandhi and Tony Kakkar are the mentors.
The press conference, hosted by Sugandha, was attended by the mentors and special guest Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Shilpa shared her views on mentoring children. “Mentors are important in children’s life. A child is like clay, you can mould them in any shape and build confidence in them. Children are brought in this world to do their job and we are a way for it. The journey of the show will make them a polished artist. And as it is pandemic I’ll say, what cannot be cured has to be endured.” The makers and the channel are taking proper precautions. Everyone on the sets has been following social distancing. Bio Bubble only allows the entry of children and their parents. Hug curtain and Hi-Five are the other ways to ensure safety.
Singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan is set to return to television with this singing reality show. “‘Taare Zameen Par’ is the journey of 20 kids who just want to sing, without anyone winning or losing at the end and no eliminations along the way. It’s about us mentoring them without any pressure. Here, everyone will learn and everyone will win,” Shankar asserts. His mentor for life has been his father who taught him two things- ego and anger destroy a man and an angry man is like a drunk man in music. Shankar ’s mentors taught him music and music principles. For Tony Kakkar, his mentors are Neha Kakkar and Sonu Kakkar. Both of them have taught him a lot about life and music. Singer Jonita Gandhi thinks her father is the biggest mentor in her life. He taught her the value of music and music is a healing mechanism. “Music gives me inner peace,”says Jonita.
