A new luxury cocktail is setting records at Adalina, a Chicago-based Italian restaurant, in collaboration with the high-end jewelry brand Marrow Fine. Named the Marrow Martini, this extravagant drink is priced at an eye-watering $13,000 (over ₹10 lakh) and aims to be the most expensive martini in the US.

Crafted by Colin Hofer, Adalina’s general manager and Michelin Guide’s ‘Sommelier of the Year’ for 2022, the Marrow Martini stands out not only for its price but also for its lavish presentation. According to a press release, it is served with a 9-carat diamond tennis necklace from Marrow Fine, featuring 150 diamonds set in a 14-carat gold necklace.

The cocktail itself boasts deep, complex flavors, made with Clase Azul Mezcal, clarified heirloom tomato water, lemon basil olive oil, and chili liqueur. For an added touch of drama, the drink is presented under a glass cloche along with the diamond necklace.

“What makes the Marrow Martini truly unique is the seamless fusion of fine jewelry and luxury dining. It’s not just about the cocktail — it’s about creating an elevated experience,” said Hofer in an email to Fox News Digital.

Jillian Sassone, founder of Marrow Fine, chose Adalina for this collaboration due to its exceptional menu and vibrant atmosphere, created by Top Chef Soo Ahn. Sassone remarked, “Each time I have visited Adalina, I’m blown away by every dish but also by the palpable energy and excitement in the restaurant.”

The Marrow Martini has been available at Adalina since September 9. While it may not be the most frequently ordered item, it has certainly generated buzz among elite patrons seeking a unique dining experience.
