Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, targeted the opposition coalition, INDIA bloc. He accused the INDI alliance of prioritizing their family over the welfare of the poor. The Prime Minister asserted, “In the name of the welfare of the poor, these people do politics for their family.” The Prime Minister arrived in his parliamentary constituency for a two-day visit to lay the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth more than ₹13,202 crore on February 23.

Speaking at the 647th birth anniversary event of Sant Ravidas, PM Modi emphasized his government’s commitment to everyone, stating, “Today, this mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Effort’ has also become the mantra to connect with 140 crore countrymen.”

He highlighted the importance of equality and his government’s dedication to serving every section of society. PM Modi mentioned the schemes aimed at the development of those who were previously marginalized. He expressed satisfaction in fulfilling responsibilities on the birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas Ji.

PM Modi praised Sant Ravidas for addressing social issues such as untouchability and discrimination during the 15th century. He unveiled a statue of Sant Ravidas in Varanasi and inaugurated the new Sant Ravidas Museum. The Prime Minister also offered prayers at Sant Ravidas Janamsthal.

PM Modi distributed prizes to winners of Sansad Sanskrit Pratiyogita and launched two books on Kashi at BHU in Varanasi earlier in the day. He is scheduled to visit Banas Kashi Sankul, a milk processing unit, and address a public function to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over Rs 13,000 crore in Varanasi.

These projects include schemes related to tourism and spiritual tourism, with 23 schemes worth Rs 10,972 crore set to be launched and the foundation stone for 12 schemes worth Rs 2195.07 crore to be laid by the Prime Minister.
