Theft at Aunt Dati petrol pump: Solar batteries, Rs 40,000 in cash stolen in Bagadia village

In the village of Bagadia in the Bhulath tehsil of Kapurthala, an incident of theft occurred at Aunt Dati Petrol Pump, where solar batteries and cash worth 40,000 rupees were stolen by thieves. The stolen batteries are estimated to be worth about 200,000 rupees. After receiving information about the incident, the Bhulath police station has registered a case against unknown individuals and has started searching for the suspects based on the footage captured by CCTV cameras installed at the scene. This was confirmed by SHO Harjinder Singh as well.

Regarding the incident, the petrol pump owner Yashpal Bahal informed that last night, he closed his petrol pump and returned home, leaving the pump’s attendants asleep at the petrol pump station. Around 1:30 AM, some robbers arrived in a Maruti car and broke the locks of the store located behind their pump, stealing 10 batteries meant for the solar plant installed at the petrol pump. He also mentioned that when the robbers’ voices alerted the attendants working at the petrol pump, they attempted to stop them, but the robbers were armed with sharp weapons, intimidating the attendants and stealing 40,000 rupees in cash from the petrol pump station. The CCTV cameras have captured the entire incident of this robbery.

It clearly shows that the robbers arrived in a Maruti car, parked the car outside the store, and while at the store, they were seen stealing the solar batteries and placing them in their car. After the robbers left, the attendants working at the pump informed the owner about the incident. According to SHO Harjinder Singh, the police team went to the scene upon receiving information about the incident and based on the owner’s statement, an FIR has been registered against unknown thieves. Additionally, a search for the thieves has also been initiated based on the CCTV footage.
