After issuing 46% DA letters, relief is finally being observed among the teachers working in Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan after a prolonged period. Due to the non-payment of salaries for three months, their morale had declined. With the issuance of these letters, their morale has significantly improved. Joint Teacher Association Convener Dr. Ramesh Chand Sharma, Chairman Ranveer Jorar, Legal Advisor Arvind Rana, and General Secretary Ajay Shy shared this information.

They expressed wholehearted gratitude to Director School Education Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar and Education Secretary Madam Hargunjit Kaur. Dr. Sharma clarified that this demand had been pending for a long time, and the Teachers Association had been consistently raising it with the administration.

Dr. Sharma clarified that after receiving this DA, teachers would also benefit from this year’s arrears, resulting in an increase in their salaries. According to the DA letter, provisions have been made for giving 38% and 42% DA to teachers. The representatives expressed hope that the administration would soon address last year’s DA arrears of Rs. 1000. They urged the administration to allocate funds from the state budget if there are any budgetary constraints, ensuring that teachers do not have to endure further delays in this matter.
