Situated in Delhi’s famous GK 2, Mensho is a sanctuary of Japanese-inspired gastronomy, weaving a tapestry of flavors and aromas that evokes the senses. The establishment, bathed in a serene ambiance, sets the stage for a dining saga that transcends the ordinary.
Our culinary excursion commenced with an array of innovative libations. The Blue Matcha Moscow Mule, a kaleidoscope in a glass, blended hues and tastes in a dance of harmony. The Berry and Raspberry Kombuchas, effervescent and zesty, reinvented tradition with a modern twist, while the Japanese Iced Tea whispered tales of distant sweet lands with every sip.

For the appetizers, we delved into the Yasai Chips, which were a mosaic of crisp vegetable wonders and a light prelude to the feast. The Vegetable and Chicken Gyoza, meticulously sculpted, had a balanced flavor and texture in each delicate bite. The Dynamite Prawns exploded in our mouths with a fusion of succulent seafood and fiery spices, and the Kimchi Grilled Cheese Sando, was indeed a culinary magnum opus sandwich, which brought together the heartiness of cheese and the spirited zest of kimchi.

As we ventured into the main course, the Tofu Donburi Rice Bowl and Matcha Tori Paitan Ramen awaited us and our cravings. The former, was a comforting embrace of soft tofu and aromatic rice, beans, ginger, and nuts, epitomizing heartwarming nourishment, while the latter was a masterpiece of noodle artistry, laced with egg, chicken tempura, and vegetables, adding an unexpected twist to a comforting classic.

The denouement of our dining narrative was as sweet as it was zesty and sublime. The Sticky Toffee Pudding had a yummy drape of miso caramel accompanied by vanilla ice cream. It was a revelation in texture and taste and the Japanese Tart, a fusion of East and West, balanced the sweetness and tartness with its delicate pastry embrace.

This Japanese delight – Mensho in GK 2 – is more than a restaurant; it’s a destination for those who seek to embark on an extraordinary culinary expedition. Its inventive beverages, exquisite appetizers, and soul-satisfying main courses, set against a backdrop of tasteful elegance, promise an unforgettable Japanese culinary adventure.

It’s a must visit and try this winter!
